I’m raising as much as I can to beat cancer - let's see how far we can get.
In memory of
Don Powell
My Story
Even in these crazy, horrible times, cancer is still here, still taking loved ones every day. So I’m raising money right now for Cancer Research UK. Even if Covid-19 makes the task difficult (getting to the Sahara), we will get this done, and my training has started (all but the warm weather acclimatisation). My natural northern complexion is between pasty white and translucent, so desert heat will be perhaps the biggest challenge. It would be great if you could donate to my page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. We're raising funds in advance, but this page will have occasional updates, pics, and of course news of the trek when it happens - I'll be the bright pink one doubled over, applying bandages to my toes. Thank you so much. In memory of Don, my Dad-in-law, who we lost a few years ago to cancer.

CAUSE
All Cancer Types
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
