My Story
When I originally entered this race in 2020 I had 3 friends at the time all with young families who were fighting the big C. Two years on and thankfully two of them kicked it’s ass 🙌🏻 However, probably the fittest of all of them sadly lost his battle. Having qualified to represent GBR at the Half Ironman European Championships COVID unfortunately robed him of his opportunity to achieve that final goal. He left behind a wife and at the time, 10 year old son. There is no logic to who Cancer will take, however super human you are we all have the same vulnerability which makes it all the more important for organisations like cancer research to help find treatments. It seems fitting to honour Guy’s memory by competing in a Half Iron race. Any help you can give raising money for this great cause is much appreciated!

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
