My Story
Hi all! This year I will be participating in the Race for Life at Home to help beat cancer! This cause is one extremely close to my heart. I will be completing the race with my best friend Jordan who is currently fighting Hodgkins Lymphoma, for a third time. Jordan is one of the most kind, caring and inspirational people I've ever met and I'm extremely lucky to have a friend like her. She is one of the most beautiful people I know, inside and out, with a smile that could break your heart. My best friend Michelle has recently won her battle with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma after battling it twice over the last 3 years. Michelle has the ability to make my sides hurt from laughing in seconds and throughout the entirety of her fight she has been an incredible role model for not only young people who follow her journey and those of us lucky enough to call her a friend, but everyone she encounters. Michelle now speaks about her experiences on her platform and hopes to help others find light and laughter in any situation. My cousin unfortunately lost her ongoing battle with cancer during 2020, Lara had a longer fight than most and time and time again she proved to the doctors she wasn't done fighting. She was an incredible free spirit and her outlook on life has shaped the way I live my own. Lara was kind-hearted, caring and selfless, taken far too young; she will forever remain in our hearts. After a year where vital cancer trials have been delayed, the Race for Life is more important than ever. That's why I'll be taking part in the Race for Life at Home. Every pound you can donate will go towards Cancer Research UK’s ground-breaking work, so please sponsor me today!
