My Story
Cancer is happening right now, and in 2019 we were shocked with the news that my amazing mother had been diagnosed with it. Luckily they caught it quite early on and the treatment has been effective so far, but we all know not everyone is so lucky. The treatments & medical advances my mother benefitted from would not have been possible without the doctors & cancer research charities constantly researching, working & coming up with new ways to beat it. That is why I’m raising money right now for Cancer Research UK. We have already lost two friends in their 30s to this terrible disease, taken away too soon. They are in our hearts & memories forever. I run in memory of them, and dedicating the miles to my mother and the other fighters and survivors of cancer who are close to us.
