I'm taking on a Race for Life Hike for my Grandad.

Doug Hillier
Last September, my family and I lost my Grandad to cancer. He was my world and life hasn't been the same since. My mum and I decided that we wanted to do something for him, so decided to sign up for Hike for Life and walk 40 kilometres in his honour.

Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
