In memory of
my mum
As you may know my mum faced cancer twice in her life and the vital work of charities like this meant that she was with us growing up making so many memories. Even when it returned we were able to have a few more years together due to the work Cancer Research UK do. I am taking part in this Race for Life 5k in memory of my mum Tracey Fife and 2 of my close friend's dad's Andrew Hazzleton and Jim Ryan who have also recently passed away from Cancer in the hope that many people in the future will beat their battle with cancer and spend many many years with their family and friends.

Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
