In memory of
Grandad
I’m taking part in Race for Life having felt the destruction of cancer. My dad Martin survived his stage 4 diagnosis of Hodgkin’s lymphoma and has been in remission for over a decade now. We lost my grandad last May during the pandemic to myeloma, which was a difficult time for all of us - no doubt a familiar experience to a lot of people. 1 in 2 are affected - let’s hope the future brings more treatments, and hopefully a cure.

Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
