My Story
Hey everyone, I’m Amy-Louise, and this February, I’m taking on the Cancer Research Challenge, walking 100 miles to raise vital funds for cancer research. At 22, I faced the battle of my life with the diagnosis of two brain tumors. A 9-hour surgery, 13 months of chemotherapy, embryo and egg collection surgery via IVF, and 6.5 weeks of radiotherapy later, here I am, sharing my story with you! Back in 2019, the prognosis was daunting—and was given 7-10 years survival rate. But thanks to advancements in research and technology, I’ve reached year 5, and my tumors are stable. Cancer has touched my family deeply; my Aunty, Grandad, Nanny, and Dad have all faced their battles. Sadly, my Grandad and Nanny lost their lives to this disease. My goal is to raise a minimum of £200, and every contribution brings us closer to breakthroughs that can change lives. Your support means the world to me and to countless others facing their own battles. Thank you for being part of this journey xx
