My Story

On the 17th October 2025, I will be taking to the Ms Great Britain stage… Part of my preparations as a finalist is to fundraise for Cancer Research UK. Cancer Research UK is a charity very close to my heart. Over the past decade, I have worked hard to fundraise and raise awareness for many cancer charities. Cancer affects 1 in 2 of us in our lifetime and most of us will know someone who has gone through it or going it through it now. For me,my beautiful sister was first diagnosed with cancer at the age of 29 when I was just 8 years old (23 years ago) and she has been having treatment since… without the groundbreaking research that Cancer Research do, my sister might not be here today. Last year,my wonderful Auntie was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumour. My Auntie Julie was full of life and enthusiasm, she loved life and loved those around her so much… she fought as hard as she could but unfortunately passed away September last year. So I am fundraising in memory of my lovely Auntie,I’m fundraising as a thank you to CRUK for helping my sister be here with us still today and thank you for all your hard work researching helping those fighting cancer the best chance of staying with their families and friends longer. Please support me in my efforts to raise money and awareness for this wonderful cause. We have 4,000 reasons to believe we can beat cancer; that’s how many smart minds are working in the best research facilities across the country to find new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat this disease.
