Amy and Antra's Hike for Life
Peak District Hike 2018
Sat 8 Sep 2018
Antra and I have signed up for a spectacular yet challenging 26mile hike through the Peak District in aid of Cancer Research UK on Saturday 8th September. We have set a (rather ambitious) target to raise £500 between us and we would be so so grateful for any donations, however big or small, every pound is a step closer to help us reach our target. We will be setting off at 6.30am(!) and it will probably take around 10 hours (including a lunch stop). The route is as follows: On leaving the Bakewell County Showground, the trail joins the Monsal Trail heading along a former Midland railway line before dropping into the magnificent Monsal Dale. Ascending through Deep Dale, we'll head south west past the Village of Monyash before joining the Pennine Bridleway and heading South East to join the High Peak Trail. The final stretch will take us South to Carsington Water and the finish line.
