Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This March I’m walking 10,000 steps a day throughout the month to help beat cancer. As many of you are aware back in December I found out that I had DCIS breast cancer. As you can imagine the shock and emotion that followed was unimaginable. Having had surgery mid January I’m now getting stronger by the day and I’ve had a lot of time to reflect. It is for this very reason why I want to give back and provide a contribution to this important cause. The fact I’m able to raise money for cancer research is a blessing. Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
