My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This March I’m walking 10,000 steps a day throughout the month to help beat cancer. As many of you are aware back in December I found out that I had DCIS breast cancer. As you can imagine the shock and emotion that followed was unimaginable. Having had surgery mid January I’m now getting stronger by the day and I’ve had a lot of time to reflect. It is for this very reason why I want to give back and provide a contribution to this important cause. The fact I’m able to raise money for cancer research is a blessing. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
