My Story
I have no words to explain the devastation and heartbreak cancer has filled me with. Losing my mum to pancreatic cancer and then my dad getting prostate cancer, who sadly passed away last year suddenly, it has very much affected me. I run this every year now in the hope I can help in my own small way. My mum and dad were my biggest supporters and were at the finish line every year. This will be the first year they won’t be there when I cross that line. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 10k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour.
