My Story
This year, I’m running the Cambridge Race for Life 5k to fundraise for Cancer Research UK. I’ll be running alongside my colleagues in the Proteomics team (the ‘Astral Zoomers’) from the CRUK Cambridge Institute. I’m fortunate enough to work for Cancer Research UK and see firsthand how every donation contributes to cutting-edge research. However, this is a cause very close to my heart as well. With 1 in 2 people diagnosed in their lifetime, most of us know someone close to us that been affected by cancer. For me that is my mum and two of my close friends from university. Every donation, no matter the size, helps fund research into life-saving treatment. Thank you so much for your support!

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
