My Story
It's a time of feeling confused. It's a time of feeling lonely. It's a time of feeling trapped. It's a time of feeling scared. These are the emotions myself and Jessica have been feeling - like I'm sure millions others - during this time of Covid-19. However, we are lucky because we can make ourselves 'feel' better by getting out and about. Going outside, talking, exercising and enjoying our local scenery. I like talking about flattening the 'scribble' in my head! Those battling cancer are also feeling these things but the escape isn't so easy. We are reminded of this daily as a family member was laid to rest last week, whilst another bravely continues her long and exhausting cancer journey. Being Mrs Williams at school has meant that exercise has taken a complete nose dive. Along with it, my time spent with positive interactions with my family and my mood. Putting all of this together, I concluded I needed to break the cycle and commit to a challenge. As always, Jessie is always up for pushing herself and spending some quality 'Mum' time... so here we are:10,000 steps every day in March. We know that fundraising for research into cancer is absolutely vital. I am fortunate to know THREE very important children battle and win their fight with Cancer and can clearly see that by Walking All Over Cancer we can help fund life-saving research. Please make us all smile a little wider by making a donation to our page. Thank you xx
