My Story
As a direct result of the coronavirus pandemic, Cancer Research UK’s vital projects which could have the big answers to cancer are being held up. With the cancellation of fundraising events like Race for Life, the charity is expecting a staggering £160 million drop in income in the year ahead. So l am taking part in the Race for Life at Home, running a total of 100km in the next month, between now and 20th August. I’ll post updates of my progress. I have been inspired to do this after family friend Mike Cushing highlighted the issue in local news (see link: https://www.minsterfm.com/news/local/3146096/video---york-chef-calls-for-a-kickstart-to-cancer-research/), and because cancer affects us all...we lost our dad 23 years ago to this cruel disease. Please donate if you can...I’d really appreciate the support! Every pound you can donate will go towards Cancer Research UK’s ground-breaking work, so please donate to my Giving Page today! If you’d like to join the Race for Life at Home community, then sign up at raceforlife.org/athome We might be apart, but we’re doing this together.

All Cancer Types
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
