My Story
Since losing my Mum 13 years ago I have been Racing for Life every year to raise money for Cancer Research and try to help in some way find a cure for this disease that touches and takes too many. My Mum was unexpectedly diagnosed with stage 4 Lung cancer unexpectedly when just after George was born, it changed our world for ever. She was given 2 weeks to live and advised to go home and prepare to end her days. She rallied on for another 9 months, precious time for us that I will always be thankful for ,but losing her left a hole no one and nothing can fill. Not a day goes by that I don't feel the loss and miss her. I have other loved ones as we all do that have been touched by cancer and I too with Skin cancer diagnosed back in 2019 so I will continue to raise money on my lifetime mission of raising £50,000 for Cancer Research to try help find a cure for this disease and help us all beat it. With the Pandemic preventing Race for Life for a couple of years I started running every day from March 2020 and the first lockdown to do something I could pledge and try raise money from, since then I have run 5400 kilometres and hope this and todays's 10k will help me raise more money for Cancer Research. This is for you Mum and everyone affected by Cancer. Thank you for your support
