I'm taking part in Race for Life as many of my family and friends have been affected by cancer.

As many of you will know, I lost my dad to cancer 19 years ago and more recently two of my best friends have also been affected as well as many of my wider family. I'm part of a team of ladies who are supporting my friend Sharon in her bid to raise money for cancer now that she has finished her treatment and is well on the road to recovery with a clean bill of health. Only through funding and research will we find a cure for this horrible disease which can affect any one at any time. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
