My Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I’m taking the plunge (literally) to help make waves in the fight against cancer. Over the coming weeks, I’ll be braving icy (hopefully not literally) waters in a series of cold-water dips to raise vital funds for cancer research. Every shiver, every gasp, and every moment of discomfort will be a tiny reminder of the strength and resilience shown by those facing cancer every day. My goal is to turn these chilly challenges into hope — funding life-saving research, supporting breakthroughs, and bringing us closer to a future where cancer is no longer a life sentence. If you can, please support my journey. Together, we can make a real difference — one freezing dip at a time. 💙❄️ Thank you xx More info: I’m taking on the 12 Dips of Christmas Cold Water Challenge this December to help raise money for Cancer Research UK because too many of my family and friends have been impacted by one or more of the 200 different types of cancer. Your support means the world. Whether it’s donating, sharing this page, or simply starting conversations about cancer and the importance of regular checks, you’re helping make a difference. Cancer Research UK is the world's largest independent cancer research organization. Its mission is to reduce the number of deaths from cancer by funding world-class research, providing information, and influencing public policy. CRUK supports over 4,000 researchers and funds a wide range of cancer-related research, including drug discovery, prevention, and early detection. The organization also engages in public awareness campaigns and raises funds through donations and community initiatives, aiming to improve cancer outcomes and ultimately achieve a cure for cancer. NB: Anything below 15°C (59°F) is the commonly accepted threshold for cold water swimming.
