My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I’m going to be taking part in the Swim 10k Challenge this March to help raise money for Cancer Research UK. Cancer affects 1 in 2 people, My husband was diagnosed with Prostate cancer and was one of the lucky ones who is in remission after surgery. Now my brother has been diagnosed with rectal cancer. He has completed 30 sessions of radiotherapy, and is now on a course of 6 months chemotherapy before he has to have major surgery in the hope to cure him. He lives in Madeira and the care and support he has received from the medical team looking after him has been second to none, as was the support provided to my husband. My brother still has a long road ahead of him but we remain hopeful and positive. I am completing the swim for him and all those battling with Cancer.
