In memory of

Michael Brown - Dad/Grandad

26 Oct 1941 - 27 Jun 2018

Our beloved Dad/Grandad died in June 18 after fighting prostate cancer for three years. His cancer was already advanced by the time he was diagnosed but he never gave up hope, he was hoping to be put forward for experimental treatments with the Royal Marsden but after an operation to treat a secondary cancer tumour on his T10 vertebrae never recovered well enough for this to be pursued. We know now it’s because his cancer has spread further to his pancreas so he became increasingly poorly. He was a strong, proud man and died at home, unfortunately palliative care was not put in place quick enough to help him in his last few days but he always put a brave face on regardless. Let’s stop this awful disease and the devastating impact it has on people’s lives.

Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there.

Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions of lives. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.
