Dad was diagnosed with cancer of the oesophagus in January 2016. Following an intense course of Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy we were told that there were no active signs of cancer. Unfortunately 3 months later it was back with a vengeance and we lost Dad in September 2017. It was heartbreaking watching Dad fade away before our eyes knowing there was nothing we could do.
CAUSE
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
