My Story
Cancer affects 1 in 2 of us here in the U.K. Back in 2010, that figure was 1 in 4 of us. I’ve lost both my grandmother and grandfather to cancer since then, and my father was lucky enough that his cancer was caught quickly and treated. Early detection and intervention is incredibly important in the fight against this terrible disease, that can only be achieved through the hard work of charities such as Cancer Research U.K. to help us understand various forms of cancers. As a finalist for Ms Great Britiain, I am happy to be a part of The Miss Great Britain Organisation who have raised over £230,000 for Cancer Research UK since 2015. Not only this, the finalists over the years have shared vital awareness on different cancer types and been advocates for screening and campaigning for change. Together we are funding life saving research and helping women and men across the UK be even more cancer aware. We thank you for your vital support in our mission to keep families together for longer. Together we are beating cancer!
CAUSE
Developing better treatments
From testing new therapies to finding better ways of using existing therapies, our clinical trials have helped improve cancer treatment. But these treatments don’t work for everyone and can have short- and long-term side effects. With your support, we can find kinder, more effective treatments so that people can live longer, better lives.
