My Story

Alternative Against Cancer is back! After being rested throughout 2025 Alternative Against Cancer, Wilding Promotions charity effort for breast cancer research returns as past of the upcoming WildingFest happening on Sunday 2nd August 2026. Alternative Against Cancer is a cause that is very close and meaningful to Wilding Promotions and has been at the core of what we do since the very begiining of establishing the live music promotion back in April 2024, done in honour of phylis Aylward, grandmother of matt (founder of the promotion) who sadly passed away of breast cancer before he was born. This charity effort has been his way of connecting with the issue and honouring his grandmother and saw incredible success in 2024 when a staggering £1,934.03 across the 5 alternative against cancer events ran by the promotion in 2024. Now Alternative Against Cancer returns in 2026 as part of WildingFest, a all day outdoor festival that made its debut back in 2025 at the Green Rooms Treforest and now returns to the same venue on 2nd August 2026 and this time it will feature a fundraising effort starting now, for breast cancer research. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK, affecting about 1 in 7 women in their lifetime, with over 55,000 new cases yearly (mostly women over 50) and rare cases in men (around 400/year). Globally, it's the leading cancer in women, with over 2.3 million diagnoses in 2022. Key factors are age, genetics (BRCA genes), family history, and lifestyle, with survival rates improving significantly due to better screening and treatments, especially for early-stage cancers We at Wilding Promotions would massively appreciate your support in the relaunch of Alternative Against Cnacer in the lead up to the return of WildingFest.
