My Story
Cancer research funding is an issue close to my heart. I am marking one year since the discovery of a tumour in my pancreas (later confirmed as a malignant neuro-endocrine tumour). I had a lengthy hospital stay, a major operation (Whipples procedure) and I continue to have 3-monthly scans and oncology reviews. My lovely Mum is also a cancer survivor who has undergone surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. We have both benefited from the care, expertise and skills of amazing healthcare teams and we are so grateful for the research and fundraising that has made these treatments possible. My sister and I are definitely not runners, so taking on a 10K is a major challenge for us! We would be very grateful for any sponsorship, no matter how small! Cancer is happening right now, which is why I’m raising money right now for Cancer Research UK. There’s no time to lose! Donate to my page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
