Alley's Race for Life

In September 2017 I lost my amazing dad to bowel cancer, he was just 61 years of age and I was 22. I held his hand as he took his last breaths and I miss him with all my heart. Even though my dad didn't win his fight against cancer, I know we can beat cancer one day, and I was inspired my by sister who ran the great Welsh marathon in memory of my dad. Now running 5k compared to a marathon may sound easy, but I have two conditions; one called Myalgic Encephalomyelitis and one called Elhers Danlos Syndrome; I need to use a wheelchair to get around. I usually rely on a powered chair but I want to really challenge myself and self propel in my manual chair which I usually only use around the house or if someone is pushing me. To wheel myself 5k is going to be a huge challenge but I want to honour my dad's memory and raise as much money as I can for Cancer Research.
