In 2017 my dad passed away from bowel cancer. I plan to self propel the race in my wheelchair.

In memory of

24 Aug 1956 - 26 Sep 2017

In September 2017 I lost my amazing dad to bowel cancer, he was just 61 years of age and I was 22. I held his hand as he took his last breaths and I miss him with all my heart. Even though my dad didn't win his fight against cancer, I know we can beat cancer one day, and I was inspired my by sister who ran the great Welsh marathon in memory of my dad. Now running 5k compared to a marathon may sound easy, but I have two conditions; one called Myalgic Encephalomyelitis and one called Elhers Danlos Syndrome; I need to use a wheelchair to get around. I usually rely on a powered chair but I want to really challenge myself and self propel in my manual chair which I usually only use around the house or if someone is pushing me. To wheel myself 5k is going to be a huge challenge but I want to honour my dad's memory and raise as much money as I can for Cancer Research.

Please donate as little or as much as you can, every little bit helps. If you can't donate, please just support me in this venture.

"Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives.
