My grandmother
Funding for cancer research has fallen during the COVID-19 crisis. With two fellow scientists from the Francis Crick Institute, we are the Crick CycLadies, pedaling to support Cancer Research UK! As part of the Challenge I will be cycling the Devon C2C, an 85-mile trail from Barnstaple to Plymouth. To practice for this, we will also cycle along the coastal Viking Trail in Kent, between Canterbury and Ramsgate. Thank you for your support!

Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
