My Story
This year I’m racing as a 1year ago my life was pretty normal as a mum to 5 beautiful children. My son who is a very talented dancer and his dance partner was given an amazing opportunity to audition for Britain’s Got Talent and was successful in making it to the like semifinals. While in London with Chris at rehearsals I found a lump in my left breast. But as the kids were about to embark on the most massive opportunity of their lives and I thought this isn’t happening to me I’ll be fine. I carried on kept very quiet. About it a month later as the lump in my left breast was still there I went to the GP. He didn’t think it was anything serious but as at the same time my mum was having treatment for breast cancer my GP said protercol says I have to fast track you. Fast forward a year I’ve had a mastectomy and full lymph node clearence chemo therapy and radiotherapy. And with the help of my amazing family and friends and the outstanding medical team I’ve kicked cancers backside. And I want to encourage other ladies to be breast aware don’t ignore the warnings signs
