My Story
Two things.. I have decided to do this run with UltraFit firstly to raise some money to help research all types of cancers. And secondly to challenge myself! I have inherited the genetic disorder BRACA2 which puts me at a very high risk of breast and ovarian cancer. My mum and sister also have this, and other members of my family. Also, like most people, I have lost friends and family to Cancer, and seen some awful suffering. However I have also seen determined people can become when affected by cancer to help for the future with screening, research etc and this is what I want to do, so my boys can be treated if they have BRACA and not live with such uncertainty.
