I'm taking part in Race for Life to raise money to beat cancer

Cancer Research UK is a charity close to my heart (undoubtedly it is to others too). As you all know I had a hysterectomy last year to avoid some of the cancers I am more prone to. However there are other cancers I am genetically prone to, which I can’t prevent in this way. To say I am grateful to all the work that cancer research do is an understatement.

I have two very close family members who are currently affected by cancer. It really doesn’t discriminate. Age, health, sex etc doesn’t always protect you from becoming one of its victims.

Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 3k to raise money and save lives.

1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.
