I'm taking part in Race for Life to raise money to beat cancer sooner. We lost my Aunty last year to a 3rd occurrence of this ghastly thing.

Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. I always seem to get to the RFL every year having lost someone else, or known someone close who has been affected in some way by this horrible thing.

I'm a survivor - but only because I got lucky. Others won't be so lucky.

1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.

Sadly, my boss has confirmed that her leaving do is tomorrow evening, so I'm duty bound to go to that, as I have known her as a friend for many years, the last 3 as my immediate manager. That means that I can't run the RFL at Basingstoke. Looking at other dates/venues, I can't do those either as I'll be on holiday - so...I do plan to run a 5K, with my number and back notice on Thursday, around town, so I will post photos as proof after! Sorry to mess you around. I hope that's OK with everyone?
