It's been 9 years since I did the Race for Life yet suddenly it has to be done again.
I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in Sept 17. After completing chemo the tumours have greatly reduced. Surgery on 20 March to remove what remains of the tumour in the left breast (they think its minimal) and the lymph nodes in my left arm pit), followed by 3 weeks of Radiotherapy. By 15th July I will be through it and out the other side. Spending my 58th birthday running with family and friends and loads of strangers to celebrate life together. Cancer is a scary journey. I may have lost my hair and struggled through chemo but Im a survivor! Yeah!!!!
