My Story
Thank you for visiting my Donate in Memory page. Alison Denise Bowden sadly passed away on 21st September 2026. Born and raised in Ramsgate, Alison spent her working life in the rag trade, a career she loved and was well known for within the local community. For many years, she ran The Material Shop on Ramsgate High Street, building many friendships with customers and fellow traders. Alison leaves behind her beloved husband, Clive, with whom she shared over 50 years of marriage, and her daughter, Samantha, along with grandchildren and friends who will miss her dearly. A private cremation will take place on 21st October 2026. If anyone wishes to pay their respects or mark Alison’s passing, the family would be grateful if you would consider making a donation to Cancer Research UK in her memory. Donations will support vital research to help prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. Alison will be remembered with great affection by all those who knew her.
