My Story

Hello everyone, Ali here, thank you for taking the time to read this, it means a lot to me. Each each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there. Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions of lives. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Over the last five years my beautiful Mum has been fighting Metastatic Breast Cancer and although her diagnosis was terminal the amazing treatment she has received thanks to the ongoing work of Cancer Research UK is prolonging her life beyond all our expectations. More recently, my beautiful, amazing best friend and sister from another mister, Vicky has been stoically fighting Oesophageal and Stomach Cancer. I’m beyond blessed to have two of the strongest and most inspirational women on the planet still in my life, and I’m determined, that with your help we can continue to fund Cancer Research UK and provide life saving and live lengthening treatments for them and thousands of other Cancer patients in the UK. According to statistics provided by Cancer Research UK, every two minutes, someone in the UK is diagnosed with Cancer. 1 every 2 people born after 1960 in the UK will be diagnosed with some form of Cancer their lifetime, so ongoing research and development of treatments is vital for ALL OF US. If you’re able to sponsor me, no matter how small the amount, you have my heartfelt gratitude. With my love and thanks, Ali xx

CAUSE

Breast cancer

With almost 140 women diagnosed every day, breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. And, although rarer, around 350 men are also diagnosed with breast cancer every year. The good news is more than two-thirds of women now survive 20 years or more. Help Cancer Research UK find new ways to diagnose and treat the disease.
