My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. I am running the Race for Life in memory of my grandmother who passed away from Lymphoma in 2004. I am also running for a slightly more distant family member who is currently having chemotherapy for liver cancer, as well as my mother who had skin cancer which was removed in 2012 and in memory of my classmate who passed away from a rare brain cancer in 2018 aged just 16. I want to raise money for cancer research so that potential cures can be found to fight this horrible disease and to help prevent others from being taken too soon. When someone close to you loses their battle your life changes; there’s a hole that takes a long time to heal and you will never stop missing them.
