Alice's Race for Life

Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. Unfortunately my step father, Ian Matthews, lost his battle with cancer after a third, and terminal cancer diagnosis on 26th March 2018. He was one of the bravest, kindest and most generous men I have ever known and his loss will be felt forever by me and all of his many loved ones. He fought right until the end, proving again his strength and determination. I will always remember his smiling face and larger than life personality - always making people laugh. In 2017, just after he received his terrible diagnosis, my team, bioMUDical, and I raised over £2000. This was followed by just over £1000 in 2018. We are still raising money for this great cause. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
