My Story
Dear Friends and Family, On Sunday the 5th of April this year I will be running the Reading Half Marathon for Cancer Research UK. This year it's one of my goals to raise money for a charity that's close to my heart so here goes! I have decided to run in honour of my grandparents Janet and Denis Allen. Cancer is a disease which many families are affected by at one time or another, and whilst I have sad memories surrounding cancer on the other hand over the past few years I have been very privileged to know people who have been diagnosed and have subsequently been given the all-clear after treatment. That is due to the essential work of charities and institutions who are striving to beat cancer. This is why its more important than ever to get donating! I'm asking you to please help me achieve my goal of raising over £500 for Cancer Research. Regardless of how small a donation you give, every little bit helps. With your support, we can find kinder, more effective treatments so that people can live longer, better lives.
