Alex's Race for Life at home

I work as a medicinal chemist at the Newcastle University Centre for Cancer. We carry out exciting drug discovery projects aimed at finding a cure to cancer. Our work is sponsored by CRUK, and the coronavirus crisis means that they're anticipating a huge funding deficit over the coming year. Much of their income comes from charitable events such as the race for life, many of which are being unfortunately canceled. So as a team we're going to be running 1000 miles in a week to raise vital funds and awareness for CRUK. Please donate what you can as Cancer Research is needed now more than ever... Cancer isn't going to disappear - helping charities such as CRUK is more important now than ever. As a group we're participating in the virtual race for life at home. Collectively, over the coming week, we plan to run/ride/cycle/dance/etc our way to 1000 miles... That's the equivalent of a circuit of all the CRUK drug discovery units.
