My Story
Thank you for visiting my Cancer Research UK Cycle 300 page. This September, in memory of my Mum who passed earlier this year from cancer I will complete 300 miles on my bike for Cancer Research UK. To complete my 300miles I will be cycling my own personal pilgrimage to my Mum in one long weekend from my Bedford home on a tour through Cambridgeshire where I was born and into Suffolk where she grew up. Then up along the coast into Norfolk where my parents lived and raised us a family, finally the return to Bedford. Everyone has been so generous that I've now increased my target to raise £1000 but am truly thankful for any contribution. Every penny makes a huge difference to vital cancer research so please help however you can with a donation to my page. Thankyou so much Alex Just to update, I completed my 300miles across East Anglia on 1st, 2nd and 3rd September and it was amazing! You can see from the photos that the first two days were beautifully sunny and warm and took me from Bedford across Cambridgeshire into Suffolk. Then it was up the coast and round to North Norfolk. I tried to avoid main roads and as I was on my Mountain Bike I could venture down quiet paths, across country estates and even off-road like the coastal paths! Only on the final day did the weather get its own back with driving rain and a nasty headwind across the Fens. But it didn't stop me and the sun actually came out as I rode the last 20miles back into Bedford to round off a wonderful adventure!
