During my time on my industrial placement at Cancer Research UK, I have had the pleasure to work alongside a group of researchers who are helping in the fight to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer. During these unprecedented times we are all currently facing, charities like CR UK are suffering with a lack of funding, with events like Race for Life being cancelled. With Race for Life at Home, we have the opportunity to help raise vital funds that will keep the research going! The amazing team I work with are doing some great things, and I myself have decided to help by starting the “Couch to 5K” initiative set out by the BBC. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and greatly needed!

Developing better treatments
Clinical trials are vital for improving cancer treatments and making them available to patients. Cancer Research UK supports more than 250 clinical trials across the UK, and its ground-breaking research has saved the lives of many thousands of people in the UK and all over the world. A donation can help this vital work continue.
