My Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This March I'm letting my dog take the lead on beating cancer and walking every single day of the month to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Cancer has ripped holes in my family over the years and caused so much heartache for family and friends. Murray is the best therapy for grief and sadness; he hugs me when I get tearful, he acts the clown to make me laugh and his walks get me out of bed every morning, ready to face the day. It’s difficult to dwell on the sad things when a Bull Terrier is around! For these reasons I couldn’t imagine taking part in this fundraiser without him... no matter how many tennis balls, children’s boots or rubbish items he runs off with on our walks! Cancer Research UK are the only charity fighting over 200 types of cancer and receive no government funding for their work. Every step taken towards beating cancer relies on every pound donated. Please show your support by sponsoring me.

CAUSE

All Cancer Types

Our work has helped double cancer survival in the UK in the last 50 years. Despite this incredible progress, there’s more to be done. Nearly 1 in 2 of us will get cancer in our lifetime. Help us carry out world-class research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer.
