Alexandra's Race for Life
Manchester 10k 2019
Sun 14 Jul 2019 - Sun 14 Jul 2019
Everyone has a story about cancer whether it's a parent, sibling, grandparent, friend or colleague, we all seem to know a fighter. My mum was recently diagnosed with stage 3C endometrial cancer. When my world felt like it was falling apart, my mum was the one who stood strong and held us all together. She's an incredible woman who isn't going to let anything stop her, and I wanted to do something to help. I had been thinking of taking part in a race, maybe starting with a 5K, but then I saw the Race For Life 10K and signed up straight away. My first race will be further than originally thought but it will be for my Mum. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 10k to raise money and save lives.
