I'm taking part in Race for Life in honour of my Dad who fought and beat cancer
New Year's Eve 2018 my Dad, my ultimate Hero, was diagnosed with rectal cancer. As a family we all pulled together and supported him through his treatment and surgery. It was no easy task. Without going into detail it was a traumatic year. However his strength just kept on shining through, even at the lowest points. He is now in remission and finally on the road to recovery. 2019 certainly ended a lot better than it began. I don't and never have run, I am running in the 2020 5k Race for Life along with my colleagues and friends on Sunday 10th May for my Dad. He endured months upon months of pain and suffering in order to beat cancer and spend more happy years with us all so I am determined that I will run and complete this 5k in honour of him. If he can beat cancer, I can run 5k! Anything you can donate to support the research into treating and beating this horrible disease is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
