My Story
In July 2018 my Mum was diagnosed with endometrial cancer and subsequently had a hysterectomy as part of her treatment. Mum was due to start radiotherapy in October but felt nauseous and unable to eat. Following a couple of weeks of feeling poorly, she was admitted to hospital on 22nd October, where her cancer was found to have spread to the peritoneum. Mum's condition was untreatable and was accompanied by fluid on the lungs and kidney failure. Mum passed away on 31st October. I am raising money in Mum's memory to fund research into rare cancers. I am taking part in: Swimathon - 2.5k 29th 31st March Sheffield half marathon 14th April Leeds half marathon 12th May Welsh Wild West 65 mile cycling sportive 26th May Scarborough 10k race for life 10th July (Mum's birthday) Great North Run 8th September Dublin half marathon 21st September.
