My Story
On 20th October I will be taking part in the Great South Run to raise money for Cancer Research UK and in memory of my dad, who passed away after a long battle with cancer in 2017. I wish I had more time with my dad, and hopefully with every penny you donate, the work Cancer Research are doing will lead to higher survival rates and people getting to spend longer with their loved ones, eventually finding ways to target and eliminate cancer. This will be my second time running the Great South Run. I ran back in 2006 and somehow managed a time of 1h 41m with very little training. This year I have been actually running regularly so I am hoping to beat this time, however I am 13 years older, so I can't guarantee by how much! Any donations big or small are greatly appreciated and will be going to a wonderful cause. Thank you

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
