10-plus k swim in November
My Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my Giving Page. I am taking part in Cancer Research UK's November 10 km swim challenge to fundraise for Cancer Research UK. To donate to support CRUK's mission is generally worthwhile, but in my case I am doing it to show my appreciation of achievements in curing cancers so far, and to help keep the momentum of this research. It is personal for me, as my father has been fighting advanced, metastatic prostate cancer, and the treatment he is receiving would not have been possible without cancer research. While the challenge is to swim 10 kilometres in November, I am planning to exceed this distance. To make your donations go further, for each donor, I will add a pound for every kilometre I swim above the 10 km challenge. The more people donate and the more I exceed 10 km, the more money I will donate to this cause! Please show your support and help fund life-saving research by donating to my page.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
