Alanna's Race for Life

I have decided to take part in pretty little muddy kids because at the young age of 4 in 2017 I first learnt what cancer is and the affect it can have on a family as my amazing Nannie was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. I was a little young to truly understand. To me then it was just an illness that needed medicine that made her poorly and her hair to fall out. But like the trooper she is I know she fought it with all her might and was given the all clear. But now in 2021 she has been given the devastating news that she has to start the battle all over again when she was diagnosed with stage 4 non Hodgkin’s lymphoma and I am now old enough to truly understand what is happening. My Nannie is an amazing women and I know she will beat this again but without the vital work cancer research does to look into treatment and cures for this horrible illness my nannie wouldn’t be able to have the treatment she is to fight.
