Cardiff Pretty Muddy 5k 2018
Sat 8 Sep 2018
In memory of
Auntie Margaret and Olivias Mam Teresa and Ross Gramp Reggie
My Story
5k maybe nothing to most people - but considering I can’t run up the stairs without getting tired these days, then 5k is going to be a challenge. I will be taking part in this years pretty muddy to show my support to each and every individual that didn’t make it to the finish line when fighting cancer! I will run it for every individual I have ever cared for - that have had cancer, has cancer, fought cancer, beat cancer, lost to cancer. I will be running this, for them! First and foremost, I will be running this for my Auntie Margaret who has recently been diagnosed with the “ C Word “, for my good friends mother Teresa Bateman and for Ross Gramp, Reggie! My Auntie, along with many others made extremely brave decisions to undergo treatment, chemo will enable my Auntie to spend more time with her precious family. I would never underestimate the courage, determination and bravely she must have to fight this, Harris style! I will be running this race, for all those fighters that hoped and wished and that are still hopeful to reach the finish line and beat cancer once and for all. I have cared for many individuals over the years and cancer is a vicious terminal illness, I will run, jog, walk or crawl until I reach the finish line, for all the people that didn’t. 💓💓💓 I will doy best in trying to get to the finish line, same as everyone tries to, when fighting cancer! Everybody wants to make it to the finish line when fighting cancer - but sadly, not everybody does! We will make it, for all the ones that haven’t! Every penny would be greatly appreciated. Here’s to all the fighters. Won and lost. We are doing it for you!
