Race for Life at Home

Sat 24 Apr 2021 - Sun 23 May 2021

My Story

After a year where vital cancer trials have been delayed, the Race for Life is more important than ever. This is my 15th year of entering the Race for Life and my 9th year with Freddie and Anya. Like last year there are no organised Race for Life events but we are going to run 5K on Saturday 24th April - the chosen date for people to run their own Race for Life. I first ran the Race for Life in 2004 and since then, I have seen friends and family of all ages battle the disease and along the way some have lost the battle, some are still fighting but more have survived. The research that is funded by events like this is clearly saving lives but it needs to save more! We raised an amazing £1064.00 last year. I am aware that a lot of people now participate in events like this so please do not feel under any pressure to donate - this is purely an opportunity for you to do so if you would like to. We won’t let 2020 stop us. That's why we'll be taking part in the Race for Life at Home. Every pound you can donate will go towards Cancer Research UK’s ground-breaking work, so please sponsor me today! CAUSE

All Cancer Types

Our work has helped double cancer survival in the UK in the last 50 years. Despite this incredible progress, there’s more to be done. Nearly 1 in 2 of us will get cancer in our lifetime. Help us carry out world-class research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer.
