My Story
In 2013 my mum Rachel Camozzi was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer and had to have a huge operation. She then had to go through the months of having chemotherapy which didn't go to plan, she had an allergic reaction to the chemo for the first couple of times where she struggled to breath. My mum has since then been diagnosed with Large Granular Lymphocytic Leukemia which has affected her body and she has to continually suffered with the ups and downs and the infections on a daily basis. She is doing well with it and currently stable and we continue to fight the battle of whats to come in the future. I am not just running for my mum, I am also running for my family members and friends family members who have struggled with this awful disease. We have lost family members to cancer and I just hope that one day we will find someone who will cure it. For anyone who knows me, I do like to run, however I have only ever run 5K for Race for Life and because my mum is unable to run with me this year, due to an operation, I want to prove to my family that I can run the 10K. Cancer is something that not only affects the person who has suffered this terrible disease, but it also affects the family and friends mentally. I would really appreciate a small donation to go to Cancer Research, to help everyone fight this battle.
