My Story
Cancer has affected multiple people in my family, and having seen the devastation it causes I feel really strongly about helping to overcome this awful disease. To do my part, I will be competing in the Great North Run later this year to help raise money needed for crucial research. I’m sure we all know someone who has been affected by cancer and so please donate anything you can. Your money directly funds science that could lead to better treatments or even a cure which one day may help millions of people. As a biomed student myself, I know just how helpful your money may be. Any donations, however small would mean a lot!

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
